How to Throw the Perfect Picnic
With the beautiful Spring weather among us, it’s time to move the party outside. Having a picnic is one of my favorite Spring and Summer activities - not only fun and easy, it’s also relatively inexpensive - all you need is a blanket and some food and you’re set! It’s the perfect activity to do with your family and friends and it can be as simple as a backyard picnic or a hike out to your dream location.
Whether you’re on a date or enjoying family time, Here are a few of our favorite ideas that will spice up your next picnic:
Supplies:
A picnic basket, tote, or cooler - Depending on your location and the type of food you’re bringing, you want to make sure you have a bag that you can easily transport your food in and keep it fresh!
Picnic blanket - Make sure you bring one that’s washable (food spills and grass stains are bound to happen!) and big enough for the whole group.
Plates, utensils and knives - There is nothing worse than getting to your destination only to find out you don’t have anything to eat your meal with.
A tray or portable table - While picnics are incredibly charming, sometimes it can be a bit hard to eat with your plate on the ground. Consider packing a small tray or table to put your food on.
Napkins and paper towels - Messes happen, trust us.
A bottle opener or corkscrew - If you bring a bottle of wine or something that requires a gadget to open - make sure you pack it!
