Green Chile Pimento Cheese Tostadas
The perfect weeknight recipe!
We love making tostadas - they are so easy and filling - and sometimes you just get a craving for a delicious Mexican dinner. Tostadas are a quick dish to make - they only require a few basic ingredients, and you’re set!
‘Tostada’ is the name of a Mexican dish that is served on a toasted or fried corn tortilla. The tortilla is topped with refried beans, cheese (we love to use pimento cheese for an extra kick), lettuce and other toppings like salsa or meat. This meal is so low stress, and you can even prepare the ingredients ahead of time if you’re serving them at a party and your guests can build their own. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
8 tostada shells
1 (15 ounce) can refried beans
1 (8 ounce) container Green Chile Cilantro Pimento Chz Club
3 cups shredded lettuce
1 cup pico de gallo
1 jalapeno sliced (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400F.
Spread tostadas with refried beans and place on a baking sheet. Divide the Pimento Chz on top of beans, spreading lightly.
Bake at 400F until toasted and cheese is melted, about 6-8 minutes.
Top with lettuce and pico de gallo
Serve immediately.
